We firmly believe that a good wine starts in the vineyard; our viticulture team is paramount to the quality of LFE wines. Lead by Eugenio Cox, Agriculture Director, they are dedicated year-round to careful vineyard and vine management, assuring they deliver the best quality grapes to the wine cellar.
Nicolas Bizzarri is LFE’s Chief Winemaker, responsible for crafting each wine along with his team of enologists. He believes that wines should show their origin, and that the art of winemaking is the freedom to use his intuition and palate to make each LFE wine.
LFE also works with renowned winemaking consultants, Matt Tompson and Philippe Melka.
LFE winemaking and production facilities are located in the heart of Colchagua Valley within our Puquillay estate. We blend time-tested traditional processes with state-of-the-art technology, allowing for maximum quality control and assurance, to make our award-winning wines.
On-site are four wine cellars with two enologists dedicated to each, a temperature controlled barrel room, and our bottling plant, storage and shipping warehouses.
Our bottling and shipping facilities are managed under some of the strictest global standards and certifications, with the objective of assuring the quality and stability of each wine delivered.
With the most modern bottling lines in Chile, we can produce up to 35,000 bottles per hour in distinct formats and sizes.
LFE wines have been awarded by some of the most prestigious competitions and wine critics around the world. In addition, LFE has been awarded for being one of the best New World and Chilean wine producers, almost consecutively since 2012.
We are certified in accordance with ISO 14001 and 9001, HACCP, BRC with an AA+ unannounced audit (only winery in Latin America with this level) and IFS. LFE is also a Certified Sustainable Winery by the Wines of Chile Sustainable Winery Code.
