Luis Felipe Edwards

HISTORY

At the beginning of the 19th century, a London-born doctor left his ship and settled in La Serena, Chile's second oldest city. It was this man's grandson who became the first member of the Edwards family to grow wines.

In 1976, Luis Felipe Edwards bought vineyards in some of the best vinicultural land in the Central Valley. There he restored vineyards planted in the early 1950's, introduced new grape varieties and eventually in 1994, set up a winery equipped with the latest production and bottling technology. The first production of Cabernet Sauvignon, vintage 1994, was brought onto the market in late 1995.

Today, Luis Felipe Edwards Wines is known around the world as a leading Chilean fine wine producer, with a range of high quality, award-winning wines produced by leading consultants and winemakers. The company exports to nearly 40 countries worldwide.
