HILLTOP
Our whole ethos of elevating quality is depicted nowhere better than our new project sites at 800m in the mountain ridges that surround our home.
In 2008 we will launch wines made from the first fruit from the vineyard plantations.
The fruit promises to be the best quality available.
These wines will be made from fruit from our highest vineyards:
El Paso Las Mulas (the mules pass)
Our highest vineyard at 800m above sea level, it takes 30 minutes to reach the vineyard by 4x4 truck, and is planted with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. This vineyard is one of the highest in the Colchagua Valley.
Llanos Las Yueguas (the mares plain)
Historically a site where wild horses used to visit and breed in the spring, the wild horses have long gone but the land has a perfect aspect for grape growing. Planted with Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz these vineyards lie at 600m-700m above sea level.
