Luis Felipe Edwards
LEYDA PROJECT

Viña Luis Felipe Edwards (LFE) acquired 162 Hectares of land in the emerging Leyda Valley.

Leyda, although 'red-hot' in terms of potential, the tempering effect of the Pacific Ocean makes this a genuinely cool climate region, ideal for growing premium whites and Pinot Noir. LFE's new vineyards, just 10 kilometres from the Pacific, will be planted predominantly with Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, with smaller plots of Gewurztraminer, Viognier and Riesling. Planting of the first 60 hectares will commence in 2007, with the first harvest anticipated in 2010.

The land was prepared in early 2007.
